Subject: Re: [ACCESSIBUILT] mobility scooters
I am a voluntary member of the Mid-Suffolk Access Group, working with
Optua (formerly ReThink Disability) in Stowmarket, we offer support and
advice to the local Planning Office from the perspective of the local
disabled community.
Please can anyone tell me whether there are any advice sheets available
to planners on creating pedestrian walkways that encourage safe use of
motorized mobility scooters e.g. the type that are providing great
freedom to many older people.
