I've done my homework in the archives and not found much recent
information on this, so I hope the list can help.
As part of the "08 for All" project on Merseyside we're going to be
gathering information on levels of accessibility, particularly at hotels
and other accommodation, but also other tourism attractions, for inclusion
on the web. For simplicity we want to be able to show much of this as
pictograms/symbols and we don't want to reinvent the wheel, so we'd be
interested to know if there are classifications plus pictograms that have
already been used that we could consider or adapt.
We're not necessarily looking to apply an international standard - which
seems to be something that's a long way off, anyway. (We are aware of the
National Accessibility Scheme gradings, but we want to provide information
about business that aren't yet, or perhaps are unlikely to be, involved in
that scheme.)
Suggestions welcome
