Hi Susan,
Do Approved Building Inspectors check with the local authority, where a
development is to be sited, to establish if there are any local design
practices that have been included within the local Unitary Development Plan
as Supplementary Planning Guidance? This is an issue that should be
addressed so that good practice guidances like the Merseyside Code of
Practice on Access & Mobility and Manchester's Design for Access 2 doesn't
get ignored in prefference to BSI 8300.
