Dear all
Does anybody know about methadone metabolism in-utero and neonates, I am
assuming there are differences to that in adults? We have a drug screen
request on a 4 hour old neonate born at 41/40 which showed lots of
methadone, very little EDDP could only be found using an ion search on our
GC/MS. Yes, mum was being maintained on methadone throughout pregnancy.
Is this the sort of picture we would expect to see?
