Thanks Judy for that! It was a great night, with great feedback from
the audience - that was the first of what I hope to be many shows. I'm
going to Geneva this week and hopefully we're going to get to spend one
night rehearsing it with a director out there....always working, even on
vacation!
If any one is interested in more info or has any good venues for a show
of this kind, let me know! We have a couple of dates in England, maybe
one in Scotland and one in Ireland - want to go everywhere really!

Subject: Heather Taylor: accents on words
Heather Taylor’s “accents on words” with Aoife Mannix
Wednesday 23 November 2005
Heather and Aoife (EE-feh) wowed a hundred-plus folks for nearly an hour
at Poetry Café in Covent Garden last night with their mixed poetry and
guitar performance.
Heather presented tender, tense and humorous recollections of her North
American childhood, of the father who travelled so much that his toddler
daughter edged around him like a stranger. He later became the man she
longed to understand---whose pains she wears too well.
Well paced and expressive in her delivery, Heather delighted the
audience with her take on parental arguments, which always started with
her “She’s immature; he’s selfish”---their passionate reconciliations
perplexing Heather, until she grew up and did the same thing.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable reading greeted at the end by well
deserved and extended applause.
