We teach [I taught] them in three hour 'workshops' face to face for thirteen
weeks, those who are well enough organized to turn up, and this one made it
rather fewer than thirteen times.
Mmm, 'distance' - glad I never had to do that. La Trobe now has regional
outposts, understaffed, pitiful libraries, where lecturers are despatched
for short stints by train, plane, and road. I used to like flying in to
Mildura, Victoria's remotest town for two days. Not good for the students,
however.
