Elizabeth Smither's first full-length UK poetry collection, 'A Questiion of
Gravity', appeared from Arc last year. It's 'an extensive selection from
five of her most recent collections, including 'Red Shoes' (2003), the
result of her two-year term as Te Mata New Zealand poet laureate.' I heard
her read from this collection at last November's Aldeburgh Poetry Festival.
A quiet, confident voice.
nb Arc is Alison's UK poetry publisher.
