I have a number of recordings of Winterreise, including Ian Bostridge's,
and I have to say Bostridge's recording ranks pretty low. His Mullerin live
and on CD was a revelation. But there is a quality to his voice which is
quite exceptional and I listen to him every chance I get. Incidentally he is
a Ph.D, probably in Music from Cambridge. If you buy a disk I recommend Die
schone Mullerin.
