I've actually erased 10 years worth of stuff:-(( Normally you can get
back stuff you erase if you use something like NTFS or ResierFS (both
journalling file-systems which keep a track of changes) unfortunately
the installation of a **$%^&((( scanner forced me to use FAT32. Even
worse, the backup tapes weren't working as advertised :-((( I later
found some of it on a floppy disk. It was a relief to be rid of the
baggage though.
