I have to say Doonesbury is right on top of this, with its Imperial
President talking about Haliburton as an 'agency'!
Whee!
I heard an ex-head of FEMA being interviewed on CBC this morning, full
of fear that too little is yet being done to save that agency & help it
get back to where it could actually do something in another emergency
(anyone for Hurricanes Phillipe & Rita?). She said the US couldn't wait
for investigations but that the President must act immediately to
remove FEMA from Homeland Security and get some good people back in
there (she didn't come right out & say so but certainly implied that
they need to rehire some of the people who left under the earlier Bush
gang putschs).
