Perhaps that's the case - and I wasn't claiming, btw, anything particularly
radical. But I do I talk to young women for whom the issues that hit me
then are as present as they've ever been - and the US has recently been
described (LRB) as the only western country where European feminism has
taken hold that has witnessed a successful backlash.
