Not to mention her kids and her husband. The former employee who posted
the notice to a BLOG...funny way to write an obit...said she struggled
bravely against it. What does this mean, this "to struggle bravely"?
Me this language understand not? I wonder how bravely I will face my
end. Or any of us, for that matter. I did get the feeling I was
reading a standard letter, form 335/A, describing someone's last days.
Though knowing Andrea at all, even as primarily a correspondent, phone
talker (one my employer's nickle, she was still in Australia then),
one-time dinner guest...yeah, I would like to believe she was out to
kick some ass even as the end wound around her.
Question--she and I had a friend in common, a writer named Joe Green who
I knew of living in the Minneapolis area. He was also friends with Phil
Nicolayev. Does anyone have email for either? Preferably Joe but
Philip will be a place to start.
