My guess is that you're cut and pasting MS Word documents into
your mailer. If you'd put your cursor at the end of each line and
right delete, the blank line would disappear. You might also
try sending as a rich text file (rtf), which might also preserve the
italics. If that doesn't work, you could inserts asterisks before
and after words that should be in italics. Some folks use underlines
(e.g. _italicize this_ ).
Could be wrong, as usual.
