Alison,
Thanks for your explanation.
I feel that Marcus Bales owes no one an apology, and I see no logic in your
saying that he does---nor in any of the other points you are making which
seem un-evidenced in your message as given below.
Further, back-channeling to prevent boredom sounds like a List rule that
might have been profitably instituted 30 or so "foetry . . ." emailed
messages previous to Marcus' most recent one.
More to the point, your saying that backchanneling objections might prevent
boredom does not sound genuine, it sounds to me like a tactic to evade
objections before the entire poetryetc membership.
Feel free to explain yourself further, if you wish. Believe it or not, I am
open to your thoughts, but I need more of them and I need to hear them put
more concretely.
If we poets cannot expect and get clear, concrete, well grounded in
evidence, explanations from the List managers in regard to eliminating a
member from the List, then which absolute monarchy is it that we now sit
under, Alison? I thought we'd done with all of that hiding and ducking and
dodging stuff back in . . . oh, I forgot . . . it's never over, is it?
Judy
