Although I agree that this conversation is getting a little long in the
tooth, I have to say, once again, that if Marcus would simply
substitute the term 'verse' for 'poetry' in his posts, no one would be
arguing. Northrup Frye made this point some, oh, fifty or sixty years
ago.
A sonnet is one form of verse, as is a rhyming couplet, etc.
