Hi Alison,
Of course, the big brand Australian beers are fairly uniformly awful
and VB especially, but some of the 'boutiques' are rather drinkable. WA
has some fine ones, as Andrew would know though he doesn't partake. The
Jimmies, Squire and Boags are also good. Hafta say some of our wine
these days is also a bit overfruited, overwooded and a bit horrid.
But there are many excellent exceptions. We've just been partaking of a
luscious Rutherglen Tokay. Yum.
