Dear Judy,
I think everyone here understands "If they don't holler, it ain't workin."
And as Lawrence stated, we respect the space you are passing through having
passed that way ourselves to one degree or another. Whatever a person's
entry there is more to come. I am reminded of something I witnessed many
years ago:
My son (then 16) and I were in line for a corn dog at the Monterey Bay Blues
Festival one year. The gentleman in front of us wore a dashing fedora,
pinstriped suit and flashed some gold teeth when he smiled and asked my
long-haired, leather jacketed son, "Are you a musician?"
"Yes, I play guitar," my son replied.
"What kind of music do you play?" the gentleman inquired.
"Speed metal!" my son jumped.
"Oh, don't worry, son," the gentleman responded with a golden grin, "you'll
slow down."
The gentleman was John Lee Hooker.
Best,
Frank

Lawrence, you mean you don't understand the meaning of: "If they don't
holler, it ain't workin"?
Well, then, try it out a few times. I've found it endlessly applicable.
You can paraphrase it, certainly, but I like it just the way it is.
Actually, that's prolly because I made it up.
Work it, Lawrence, work it!
Best, again,
Judy
