Thanks very much for commenting. I just sent a longer message to the list about it, answering Patrick's comment, but I see I forgot to add that I had also snipped part of a line out of Sappho (I like the translations and ordering from Mary Barnard and Josephine Balmer--this line is from Balmer's # 21) : "Some say an army of horsemen..." since it seemed to fit with something the poem wanted.
Nice to see your political-activist emailings lately.
I just yesterday got done with the administrative and grading work
of the longest, most overwhelming semester I've ever had.
So glad to be free of it for now.
