That period was dominated by MacCaig, Chrichton Smith, Mackay Brown and
Morgan, none of whom were using Scots in either sense, the Glasgow Language
Wars were about to get into full swing, and Lallans was going belly up.
(It's revived under Robert Crawford and Bill Herbert, but that was much
later.)
Maybe you should should have stayed.
