It is (I'm reluctantly forced to admit) good to visit -- and if you ever do,
check out The Deacon Brodie pub in the Royal Mile. They do an appetising
line in haggis baps, both carniverous and vegetarian, and sell Deacon Brodie
T-shirts (I'm wearing one as I type). Not as grey as Rankin makes out, at
least in the summer, but it can be bloody cold in Princess Street when the
wind is blowing.
I spent three great years in EDinburgh. It is fine if the only people you
know are from Glasgow.
