Minutes later JISC respond that they could not have warned me, could only have thrown me off, because if they had written to me I would not have got the message because there is no doubt that my email was out
I have pointed out to them that this conversation was initiated within minutes of their writing the - according to them - useless letter (because I wouldnt get it) telling me that I had been thrown off
They say they are going to send a copy of their reports to the listowner for her to extract the information to my ISP. I asked them. Feel free to tell them what to do, Alison. (I recall a school student throwing something on the floor. When I complained, he said the cleaners could pick it up)

Subject: Re: removal from the POETRYETC list
Three days on JISC have replied stating their policy, without reference to my questioning of it. Their solution is for the listowner to study the record of their machines' decisions and restore my connection. Meanwhile my lot have protested that the data supplied by ISC is inadequate to act on.
and so we dont progress
