I also sent a couple of notes on this thread, which also didn't make it
through.
Mainly to say that while agreeing with a lot of what Alison said (&
certainly noting Dominic's comments), I feel that the Culture people do
enjoy their bodies & sex, but also, vide Dominic, find many ways to go
way beyond such simple pleasures, especially in highly ornate games.
And that I at least take great pleasure in those texts, albeit perhaps
more readerly than writerly.... (but also feel that those categories
are almost always mixed)...
