Hi, Jess!
Check out David's new book at: http://www.dslinehan.com/lp.html
Don't sweat the past. The point was, David goes his own direction. I think
it's great that you picked up on his work and felt passionate enough to say
something.
While all the poems in the new book have been published before in one form
or another, David's vision of the ones selected (both on the page, their
lineation, and what to include) focuses his maturing sensibilities. So the
work is at once more concentrated and inclusive this time out. While there
are admirers who wish for "the big book", David remains true to what he sees
as worth assembling, i.e., the book is only 50 pages.
Good to see you around the list,
Frank
