Damn, I thought of something like this earlier today--I only now
remembered it "belonged" to John Proctor in Miller's _Crucible_. I
think Proctor is asked if he's conspiring against the Court; he replies
along the lines of "Is there such a conspiracy? Tell me, so I may join
it." Do you have to be a professor to play or can any citizen get his
name smeared on the wall?
