Hi Stephen,
Trouble at mill, definitely. You're not dense, it's local stuff I'm
sure no one else in the world knows or cares about.
As well as a week of your actual storms and potential storms grumbling
around the edges of the horizon (real big 'un last evening), there have
been street riots on successive nights in Sydney's western suburbs,
well, one street in a suburb called Macquarie Fields.
I was walking around our suburb (what is known as an inner western
suburb and pretty far from Macquarie Fields) the evening before I wrote
this, picked up a certain vibe on the street and then looked up and saw
the writing on the wall. There were other circumstances involved in my
unease (not fear, unease).
Here's some of the media beat-up, and the politicians have been saying
the usual dumb things:

riots/2005/02/28/1109546792113.html
It might seem small beer, but the bomb's ticking here as elsewhere.
But, yes, I do show my Romantic colours at times and make no apologies
for weather as metaphysic.
cheers,
Jill
