I actually had someone (a Cambridge PhD student computer scientist)
compliment me the other day on writing poems with imagery he could
understand. This lends weight to my hypothesis that incomprehension is
more often mutual than not: that, for instance, the people who enjoy
"inaccessible" poetry find much "accessible" poetry inaccessible -
that is, pointless and boring and weirdly disconnected from reality...
