I would like to draw your attention to a new post that has been developed
through a cross-faculty initiative, including the School of Cultural Sudies
and the Faculty of Art, Media and Design. I want to emphasise that it is a
role that could be undertaken by people from a cultural and media studies
background. There is no need to be a science specialist in natural history.
It requires someone who feels able to work in an interdisciplinary context
and who has an interest in the relation between the natural world and its
representation in film and new media. Above all it needs someone who can
create new links between different faculties in the university and with a
range of relevant organisations in Bristol, such as Wildscreen and the
BBC's Natural History Unit. The job advert is copied below and more details
can be found on the UWE website.
