Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Advertising Design

We are seeking to appoint a key post in Advertising Design to support
its fast growing curriculum development in all aspects of Design. A new
BA in Advertising Design is due to start in September 2005, along with
several new 3D Design Programmes. The School has been expanding in the
Design area, and currently is planning the new Design Centre in the
middle of the City for September 2005.
You will be a highly creative advertising professional who will take
forward this development in Advertising Design. You will be confident in
all aspects of creative production of advertising and perhaps come from
a Graphic Design background. Familiarity with teaching within higher
education would be advantageous as would a strong professional
background. You will have the capability to sustain/develop your own
personal research and contribute to both the strong and growing Design
team’s research achievements.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in TV/Video and New Media Production

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to join the team in the highly
successful Media Area of the School, which is situated in the brand new
Media Centre, incorporating the Sony Media Centre.
You will play a key role in teaching, assessing, curriculum development,
and student support in TV/Video and/or New Media at undergraduate and
postgraduate levels. Expertise in television studio production and/or in
multi-media/new media production would be an advantage. You will be
expected to make a contribution to the video production team’s research
profile.
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Journalism
£23,643 - £36,428 per annum Ref No: ADL196/01
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Journalism in this rapidly
developing area within the highly successful Media Area, situated within
the new Media Centre and incorporating the Sony Media Centre.
We are looking to appoint someone who can teach journalism modules at
undergraduate and, where appropriate, postgraduate levels. You should
have an honours degree in a relevant area, together with a professional
qualification or equivalent experience. Recent professional experience
and knowledge of current developments in the field of journalism
practice as well as some experience of teaching in Higher Education are
highly desirable.
