Opportunities for Research on Jamaican Economy & Soci
From: JEP <[log in to unmask]>
I am the Programme Administrator for an inter-disciplinary research
project located at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus,
Kingston, Jamaica. The project's title is Taking Responsibility: the
Jamaican Economy since Independence, and as the name implies, it is a
serious inquiry into the economic performance of Jamaica since its
independence in 1962, grounded in robust analyses and geared towards
practical policy prescriptions going forward into the next decade. The
project seeks to be an inclusive, independent research program that will
ignite the imagination of cutting-edge Jamaica researchers both locally
and internationally.
We are looking for graduate students or other researchers doing work on
any aspect of Jamaican economy/society to be a part of the project.
Specifically we need rapporteurs, research assistants and researchers.
We are also planning to launch a web directory and would like to include
as many persons as possible doing work on Jamaica on it.
I would be very grateful then it you could help me to locate persons
doing work on Jamaica, by providing me with the names and email
addressed of people I could contact and add to my list, or if you could
point me to where I could find this sort of information.
Please contact: Shakira Maxwell, Programme Administrator, The Jamaican
Economy Since Independence Project, The University of the West Indies.
