The Centre for Transport Research and Innovation for People (TRIP) at
Trinity College Dublin invites applications for PhD research
studentships. Funding is provided under the Programme for Research in
Third Level Institutions, administered by the Higher Education Authority.
Some of the topics of interest to the Centre are presented below:
 Transport modelling
 Socio-economic impacts of transport
 Information provision to transport users
 Vehicle instrumentation
 Public transport
 Public transport fare box data analysis
 Freight
 Quality of life
 E-commerce
The student stipends will be in the range €10,000 - €13,000 /year.
Students will be expected to register for an MSc or PhD degree. College
fees will also be funded.

 A detailed CV including grades etc of qualifications,
 A one page summary on what research topic you might wish to work,
 A covering letter, indicating why you consider yourself suitable
for a studentship.
