TRANSPORT RESEARCH BOARD, JANUARY 2006 ANNUAL
MEETING, WASHINGTON DC, USA
CALL FOR POSTER DISPLAYS BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL
JUSTICE COMMITTEE
APPLICATION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 16TH 2005
The TRB Environmental Justice (EJ) Committee ADD50 is inviting
applications for a poster display at the TRB Annual Meeting in
Washington, DC, January 2006.
Session Purpose
The EJ Committee's Poster Displays will seek to highlight examples
of good practices in recognizing and addressing inequalities arising
from the transportation system in countries outside of the USA. The
aim of the Session is to transfer theories, concepts, methods,
models, good practices and evaluation techniques from other
countries to inform research and practice in the US and more widely.
About the Session
Stations will be designated with a table and a 4' x 8' vertical poster
board. Electrical connection will be available at each station.
Telephone connections will not be available. Sales presentations on
specific products or services will not be accepted. Poster sessions at
TRB are popular and highly attended. They usually last for 3 hours
and take the form of a 'meet the author' exchange with interested
delegates. Last year TRB was attended by approximately 10,000
professionals from a range of transport disciplines over the 5 days of
the Conference.
Potential participants must submit applications by September 16,
2005 for consideration. The application should describe the subject
of the display and the technical or other areas that will be featured.
TRB Committee ADD50 will notify submitters by November 1, 2005,
whether or not their proposal has been accepted for the poster
session.
