Did you try to load this file on the MATLAB command line with something
like
load /gfs/V1_sn.mat
? Does this work? If not, did you use different Matlab versions (7 aka R14
versus 6 aka R13) to create and read this file? By default, Matlab R14
produces compressed .mat-files that are not readable in R13. You can
change this by adding the parameter '-V6' to the save command in
spm_normalise.m around line 205.
