That's right - not a conference - an invited expert panel - everyone is very
worried about avian flu, modelling transmission and how to take account of
social networks and spatial co-presence in constructing these models.
Everyone gave presentations about what their research might offer, but the
main science was in the round table discussions between the various
disciplines.

The NIH workshop had very interesting participants, indeed. However, it was
not a scientific conference -or am I wrong?
