Morning Everyone,
We are an accredited SQA centre in our own right (rather than as a
satellite of a college etc) and offer testing in the Intetrnet Basics
National Unit and have recently applied to offer the Information Handling
Skills. We do not currently charge for any courses except the tests and
logbooks for ECDL. However the SQA have increased their prices for
registering SQA studens and I would be interested in finding out:
How many public libraries are registerd as SQA centre (in their own right)?
Do you charge for SQA registrations and, if so, how much?
I would also be interested in any information you can give on two other
course related questions:
Do you charge for non-accredited courses (e.g. internet for beginners) and
if so how much?
I have looked into the new Individual Learning Accounts and appear to have
hit a brick wall as my local authority does not meet the qualification of
having SQMS or other listed quality management system (I have asked about
EFQM and Best Value but have not had a response) Has anyone else looked
into ILAs and have you had more luck than me?
Thanks in advance
Dawn
