Ah, yes, age. I think at 61 I was about the fourth oldest poet on the bill
:-) Kate Smith would have to be the youngest. Maybe they started the series
with us because we may not be there in September ... Younger poets will read
then perhaps. I've only recently grown out of playing the enfant terrible.

Yes, it was a very pleasant way to read. & the audience was within (stage)
whispering distance so I didn't have to shout, even without a mike. Two
poets had been studentsa of mine at some stage, and a few in the audience,
so it was a very warm feeling.

With a history like that, you should get yourself deported to Van Dieman's
