Although I generally stay way from Paglia, & don't trust her much at
all, I think some of the things she said in that Intro, about how
little people read, let along read poetry, have some validity. The
problem is what she accepts as poetry, & even more her assumption that
she can interpret them & that her interpretations will be 'correct'
ones. Her desire to establish closure in the readings, & to impose her
reading, these are especially troubling....
I sure won't be spending money on this particular book....
