I take your point Roger but, considering that and the profiles offered by
the bulk of the contributors, who give a wonderful impression of being
ambitious budding bourgeoisie, my ill-ease remains.
(Sorry Joanna, the habit of turning your name into Jo is a relict of my
past)
I should emphasise that my comments in no way are intended to impugn
Jonathan Taylor. As for 'ill-nature', Alison, there isn't any matter of bad
feeling between myself, Robin or Roger on this issue, after all, none of us
are responsible for it.
I might be feeling a bit ill-natured towards the universe at present but
perhaps that's with cause: I'll remember this Christmas as one where, on a
personal level, a 21 year old with all her life before her tried to commit
suicide, and on a supra-personal level, I hear that about 36 unidentified
murdered bodies turn up in Baghdad hospitals every day. Wonderful, ain't it
all?
Best
Dave
