Only just slightly premature, Stephen. I have finally typed THE END, after
493 pages of various kinds of slog. Oh, I am relieved, and I bet you lot
are too, after all my moaning.
What's this? "Ghastly" commercial endeavour? A _beautiful_ commercial
endeavour, I hope! I hope it sells lots and lots, but I do nothing without
putting my whole heart into it.
Delirious (hot, tired, grateful) rejoicings are my plan for the rest of the
day. Oh, and watching Little Lleyton get trashed by Andy Roddick in the
Australian Open would round it off beautifully. I'm a teensy bit tired of
the "gutsy little Aussie" stuff and crass spectators applauding double
faults. &c. Ugh, nationalism...
