I didn't know counterpunch as such, & that helps. I did see the
paintings & agree. They distort enough while keeping all the (um,
factual?) distortions of the situation right in the viewers' eyes.
It is interesting what news is allowed through. There was a story on
CBC yesterday that suggested one US reporter was brought to Fallujah to
see the new helpful USAmerican soldiers work on schooling, but what he
saw was one family in a ruined building teaching their own child, a
form of home schooling?, & no one there to even represent the helpful
invaders, who nevertheless did thank him for not then doing a report.
Hmmnn.
But nothing like what this person said.
Not even beyond the US news services' reach, so to speak. Just that
short story & no more commentary...
Sad that.
