Dear Glenn and list,
we have performed mumps IgG screening on exposed individuals on a
couple of occasions rather than using a swab - this is to check for
immunity only rather than infection. We would rely on a
clinical/medical diagnosis by a GP or other clinician rather than
attempt to diagnose ourselves.
Best wishes

Hello all
can I ask if anyone undertakes screening for Mumps, in particular by a
mouth swab method? This is particularly aimed at my NHS colleagues.
If you do undertakes such swabs, how effective is it? How long does it
takes to get results and of course what is the costing?
Many thanks
Glenn
