Dear College,
My name is Sigridur Sia Jonsdottir and I am a director of Midwifery at the
High-risk prenatal clinic, Reykjavik health care centre, Iceland.
It would be very helpful if you could please share with me the length of a
single appointment for prenatal visit by you for a normal (low risk)
pregnant women as well as high-risk pregnant women. It would also be
helpful to know if the length is the same for a single caregiver (midwife)
and how long it is for two or even more caregivers at same visit
(midwife/GP/OB).
It will also be interesting to know if you think the length is
appropriate, to long or to short.
In Iceland, we currently have usually 20 or 30 minutes for appointment and
60 min for a booking visit.
The reason for this request,is that here in Iceland we are in the process
of adjusting the NICE Guidline from England, for our Prenatal care. There
the length of a prenatal appointment is not mentioned, just what should be
included in the visit.
A respond to this request will be very much appreciated.
With regards, Sigridur Sia
