Dear Colleague,
This is often the time of year when you begin to recognize which of your
students seem able, prepared and willing to undertake postgraduate study.
This letter is to provide you some information about our M.A. degree in
Film and Television Studies, and to ask you to pass it along to any of your
students who may be considering applying to do an M.A.
Funding opportunities here include a bursary and select number of fee
waivers offered on a competitive basis. The Institute of Film and
Television Studies provides a thriving research culture for post-graduate
work, with currently enrolled students working on a variety of topics
ranging from computer games and interactive narrative, U.S. and U.K.
television audiences, romantic comedy and the Alien film cycle.
Housed in the RAE-rated 5-star School of American and Canadian Studies, the
research-active staff work predominantly on American film and television,
as well as cultural industries, production contexts, reception and Asian
cinemas. For further information, please see the Institute website at
www.nottingham.ac.uk/film. Informal inquiries about the program and
funding opportunities should made to the Director of the Institute of Film
and Television Studies, Professor Roberta Pearson at
[log in to unmask] ac.uk
Yours Sincerely,
Professor Roberta Pearson
