Hello electronic resources management professionals,
I am requesting your assistance with a pilot study.
I am currently a doctoral student a Florida State University engaged in a
collaborative research project under the advisement of Dr. John Bertot.
This study explores the relationship between the ethical climate of the
electronic resources management environment and the policies and practices
of libraries regarding issues of information ownership.
A brief overview of the research is available at
http://survey.ci.fsu.edu/ethicalclimate/. A link to the Ethical Climate
Questionnaire for Electronic Resources Librarians is available from this
page. It takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
The results of the study will be published and presented during a poster
session at the 2006 ALISE Conference. This will be an excellent opportunity
to expose LIS educators to issues in electronic resources management.
Unfortunately, many do not even know that such a role exists.
I hope you will all find a few spare minutes in your busy day to complete
this questionnaire and to distribute this request widely among your ERM
colleagues. ERM professionals from libraries of all types and from all
locations are encouraged to participate. The questionnaire will be
available through November 8, 2005.
I thank you in advance for your participation.
