Date: Tuesday 8 November 2005
Time: 6 for 6.30 pm
Venue: The Sekforde Arms, Sekforde Street, London EC1
(Map reference: http://digbig.com/3pmf)
Speaker: Michael Clarke, Director, London Libraries Development Agency
(LLDA)
Do you fancy influencing London's library policy? If so, our next meeting
is just for you!
Michael Clarke will summarise current LLDA projects and suggest
what the future might hold.
He will examine possibilities for collaboration with CILIP in London and
hopes to engage members on what they think LLDA should prioritise. In
particular, he would like to hear views on: advocacy, joined-up
working, improved service quality and how libraries can be agents for
change.
This should be a fascinating meeting - and will give you a chance to
have a say on the future of London's libraries.
Prior to his appointment as Director of the LLDA, Michael Clarke was
Director of Information at the Arts Council England.
CILIP in London's evening meetings are free and open to anyone with a
professional interest in the topic. Refreshments will be available
afterwards. As space is limited, please let us know if you are coming. It
would be helpful to tell us how you found out about the event.
If you plan to come, please e-mail Phillip Powell at
