Cari
we have had similar problems here and everything pointed to a rather
over-zealous firewall. We have solved the problem (albeit a halfway
house) where my PC has had a 'patch' installed allowing me to view and
print an article, and then I have to pop it into the post. We actually
received our first SED article today (coming some 9 months after we got
Adobe version 6) so the journal 'African Zoology' will go down in the
history books!! Ideally I would like our firewall replaced but this is
not an option; going to be more a case of having to identify our heavy
users and to get the patch installed on their PCs.
Saying that, just having the article delivered to me and then posting
it on has resulted in a 3 day saving in postal delivery. So mustn't
grumble entirely!
I should have a detailed explanation of what our IT department has done
in the next week or so, and I'll be happy to share any findings with the
list.
cheers Sean

Hello all
We have just begun a trial of obtaining inter-library loan articles
from
the British Library via Secure Electronic Delivery. Some of our
borrowers
seem to be having problems downloading the test document. The Adobe
Acrobat reader window opens but goes no further - it displays a grey
screen but never downloads the document. I have been able to download
absolutely fine as have several other members of staff.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, how did you solve
it?
Many thanks
