Evidence base at the University of Central England is holding a mini-
conference for anyone interested in dual use and combination libraries on
Wednesday 6th April.
The main focus will be on libraries which serve more than one user group,
for example students and members of the public. However, there will also
be papers and discussion groups about libraries which are co-located with
other services such as a neighbourhood office.
As well as dual use libraries, the conference will be of interest to
library professionals interested in issues such as:
Extended schools
Private finance initiatives
The provision of services in rural areas
One stop shops.
There will also be opportunities to discuss the practical operation of dual
and co-located libraries, for example staffing, issue systems and space
issues.
The cost is £60 (to include lunch/refreshments) For further information or
