A national audit of Clinical Question Answering Services (CQAS) in England
and Wales is currently being conducted by Doctors.net.uk on behalf of the
National Knowledge Service (NKS). This work is being taken forward in
association with a second survey of Clinical Librarians in the UK, which is
to be launched next week (beginning 13th June).
The purpose of the audit is to identify and characterise rapid response CQAS
whether they are in the public, private or commercial sector, encompassing a
spectrum of services from UKMi to the pilot service offered by NLH.
It is expected that a summary of the findings of the audit will be prepared,
and available via NKS, by September. Meanwhile, further information about
the work of the National Co-ordination and Development of Clinical Question
Answering Services programme is available at
http://www.nks.nhs.uk/background_questionAnswering.asp
If you have any queries, by all means get in touch with Linda or me.
Kind regards
Sue Lacey Bryant
