I thought we had agreed several years ago. Photocopy requests should be haeded General Photocopy Request (or general ILL request) and book requests General Book Requests. Either way deleting General should dispose of the unwanted emails. In view of the show of hands at the Christmas Study Day I'm now assuming that we agreed to ask Ingrid to set up a special egroup on Aditus so that in future only those staff who satisfy such requests will receive them. Or did I miss something?

Subject: A plea
Happy New Year to all. Hope you have all had a fantastic festive season and are now fully refreshed and raring to go :-)!
I imagine some of you will possibly have made some New Year resolutions too. May I add a plea to help people like me who are not based in a library and therefore cannot possibly satisfy any book / photocopy requests? Please, please..... can we agree on some standard subject headings to be used for such requests, so I can set up Outlook to delete them on arrival, without filling up my Inbox?
I suggest
Book request
Photocopy request
(Do we need to specify any other categories of materials commonly requested?)
The urgency of request can be indicated by sending the message at "High importance" and does not have to be part of the subject heading. ("Urgent book request" only confuses my system!)
Many thanks. Your consideration is really appreciated.
