This part-time distance learning programme provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals, managers and IT professionals working within healthcare, to develop key skills and knowledge in health informatics.
As well as the core modules below, students also take a specialist module related to their own professional needs:
* Information Management & Technology (IM&T) in Healthcare
* Communications and Information Technology
* Health Care Information and Evidence-Based Practice
* Change Management and IM&T
* Research Methods and IM&T
The programme may be studied over one (PGCertificate), two (PGDiploma) or three (MSc) years and is open to graduates in medicine, health, science or technology and non-graduates. Applicants will typically have a minimum of two years' previous relevant work experience although complementary strengths will also be considered.
