Reminds me of the time I was an SHO at the A&E department at the DRI in
Derby. My boss, the legendary John Collins, was appointed medical officer to
the Chinese prime minister (I think) for the 30 minutes he was going to
spend at East Midlands airport between touching down to meet hand-picked
Chinese representatives, and before jetting off to some other venue. JC had
been fully briefed (ha, ha) on his temporary patient's history just in case
medical intervention might be required. In fact the only thing he was
allowed to know was his blood group.
